Alan Hart registered for the draft. It looks like he just put “yes” under “Do you claim exemption from draft (specify grounds)" and did not specify the reason for the exemption. The precise date of his registration is not documented here, but I would presume it was in February or March of 1918 as he was saying he filled out the draft card shortly after that and he fully transitioned in January. The employer is listed as Gardner, Douglas County, Oregon, which I believe was after he was outed at the San Francisco Hospital in early Feb.
